James Christiansen, Chief Executive Officer
James is a global leader in information security, and has held senior positions for some of the world’s largest companies. As the first information security officer at Visa, he created and implemented Visa’s worldwide information security program. As the first CISO for General Motors, he was responsible for the worldwide operations of information security for all business units.
Prior to joining Evantix, James was chief information security officer (CISO) for Experian Solutions. He had overall responsibility for information security, and he defined the vision and set the strategic direction across Experian business units to provide state-of-the-art practices and guidance for the corporation. James joined Experian after serving as CISO for General Motors where his responsibilities included implementing a worldwide comprehensive security plan for the largest financial (GMAC) and the largest manufacturing corporation in the world. Prior to joining GM, James applied his security experience to Visa International, where he held the position of senior vice president and division head of information security. Under his direction, Visa developed the risk-assessment framework that grew into the current PCI/DSS program. The New York Times has called James one of the new leaders in information security. He holds an MBA in international management, BS in business management, is the author of the Internet Survival Series, and is a contributing author of CISO Essentials as well as numerous industry papers. James has more than 25 years experience in information risk management, information systems management that includes networks and operating systems, application development and design. He has also been chairman for the IT Fraud Summit, as well as a prominent speaker for prestigious events such as the Business Round Table, Research Board, American Bar Association, American Banker and MIS Training Institute.
Chris Bell, Vice President, Product, Sales and Marketing
Chris has specialized in the area of IT security and risk management throughout his career, and has held senior management positions at both Ernst & Young LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP. He brings more than ten years of IT risk management and product management experience to the management team.

He has held senior manager positions at both Ernst & Young LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP and brings more than 10 years of IT consulting, implementation, security, and project management experience to Evantix. Chris has extensive experience in the areas of IT risk and compliance management, including the design and implementation of a number of IT risk management frameworks at several Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Chris held product management positions at both Digital Signature Trust Company and Novell. Chris holds a Masters of International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management.
Rick D’Angona, Vice President, Operations
Rick brings broad and deep experience to Evantix. While he served as the acting CISO for Experian Americas, he had overall responsibility for information security strategies across Experian business units, and he provided guidance on adapting leading practice compliance controls to support corporate objectives.
Rick joined Evantix after serving as the acting chief information security officer (CISO) for Experian Americas where he had overall responsibility for information security strategies implemented across Experian business units and provided guidance on adapting leading practice compliance controls to support corporate objectives. His focus is on assisting customers balance the risk of outsourcing critical data to third party service providers with the reward associated with new and innovative approaches for increasing productivity and decreasing costs. Prior to joining Experian, he held the position of vice president of corporate information security at State Street Corporation where his responsibilities included governing the implementation of security controls for the world’s largest custodian of mutual funds. Rick brings his extensive experience delivering innovative solutions to meet complex business challenges for Fortune 500 companies to the Evantix team. He has held management positions with increasing responsibility at Fidelity Investments, First Data Corporation, American Express, and Aetna Insurance. Rick holds a BA from Hartwick College and several advanced technology certifications.
